As a 19-year veteran of law enforcement in Sublette county and a lifelong resident, I’ve had the honor of serving in every capacity within the sheriff’s office. Throughout my tenure here, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute across a wide range of projects and responsibilities, gaining a comprehensive understanding of our operations and successfully tackling diverse challenges

I am running for sheriff to continue the proud traditions of safety, integrity, and service while leading our community forward with a vision that meets today’s challenges head-on.

Tackling Mental Health in Our Community

Mental health is a growing concern that directly affects the safety and well-being of our community. As your sheriff, I will ensure that our deputies are trained to respond with both professionalism and compassion. By working with mental health experts and local organizations, we can intervene early, offer support, and reduce the burden on our justice system. Together, we’ll build a safer, more supportive county for everyone.

Fighting Alcohol Abuse with Prevention and Accountability

combining strict enforcement of alcohol-related offenses with increased education, prevention programs, and community partnerships. By working closely with schools, businesses, and local organizations, we can reduce incidents and promote healthier choices. Together, we can reduce the impact of alcohol abuse and support recovery efforts, helping to break the cycle for future generations.

Supporting Youth Through School Resource Officers

The relationship between law enforcement and our schools is crucial to ensuring the success and safety of our youth. I am committed to maintaining and strengthening the presence of school resource officers (SROs) in our schools. SROs provide a vital link between law enforcement and young people, fostering trust, offering guidance, and serving as role models. By working with students, educators, and families, SROs help create a safe and supportive learning environment that allows our youth to thrive and grow into responsible community members.

Community-Oriented Policing

My vision for the future involves a deeper connection between law enforcement and the community. I will expand community policing initiatives, where deputies are seen not just as enforcers of the law, but as partners and neighbors working together to solve problems. From public outreach, to community events to foster stronger relationships between our office and the public they serve. I am dedicated to fostering trust and collaboration.

Strengthening Resources for Deputies

Our deputies are our greatest asset, and I know firsthand the dedication and hard work they bring every day. As sheriff, I will ensure our deputies have the training, resources, and support they need to serve effectively. This includes modernizing our equipment, investing in professional development, and advocating for mental health support for law enforcement officers themselves.

The future of law enforcement is changing, & we must evolve with it. I will push for the integration of new technologies that enhance our ability to protect the public while ensuring that our privacy and freedoms are respected. From body cameras to data-driven crime prevention, & new technology to assist our office in providing services more efficiently, we will harness the power of innovation responsibly.
